5-point star shaped drill holes with inward curved walls are of ultrasonic machining.
(Below) In 2017, I saw this image of a star-shaped drill hole in granite from Massachusetts having inward curved sides that could not be recreated by any natural means nor any conventional lapidary method, so I engineered how to recreate them in 2018.
When ultrasonic drilling star shaped holes in rock, a tube must be fabricated in the shape of the hole desired. A drawplate is required for tube fabrication.
When a round metal tube is forced through a 5-point star hole drawplate, the tube transforms into a 5-point star-shaped drilling tube.
If the tube is forced too hard through the drawplate, the star tube will twist, causing a rifling effect when looking through the hole. Some ancient star holes show this rifling effect caused by a twist in the metal star tube.
The high-speed oscillations of the ultrasonic drilling tube, along with abrasive slurry, allows the star tube to drive through hard granite, leaving behind a perfect imprint of the star tube within the rock.
All ancient star shaped drill holes found worldwide have equal spaced lobes because the ancient builders used a drawplate. All three ancient drill holes shown above from California show the shape of the drilling tube. A 5-point metal tube was used.
The best example of a 5-point star drill hole in America did not come from Massacheusetts, California, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Arizona, New Hampshier, New York, or Minnasota.
The best example of a 5-point star drill hole in America was documented by Roger Turpen of “Adventures with Roger”. Look for his social media accounts having the same name to see the video.
In Rockport, Indiana people have observed a 5-point star shaped drill hole in sandstone, but it was never documented until Roger Turpen, located, measured, and videotaped the enigmatic 5-point drill hole.
Under a sandstone rock overhang, a 5-point star hole appears out of nowhere. Roger used a measuring tape and measured the star hole to be 7 inches wide. When Roger measured the inside length of the hole, it measured a little over 25 feet in length.

Star shaped drill holes found in igneous and sedimentary rock are not made by crinoids or natural erosion; they were machined in the distant past using ultrasonics.
Star holes are impossible to make with pneumatic drilling machines. A chattering and repetitive banging of rock creates microfractures that distort the minerals within a rock, leaving irregular, non-smooth walls, and never a star shape.
All ancient star holes have the same signature machine marks found in ultrasonic drilling. The inward curved sides of a star hole were created by the inward curves of the star drilling tube.
Because ancient star holes are machined, all minerals within the rock are ground down evenly and smooth with no tool marks. This is a hallmark of ultrasonic drilling.
Lasers, CNC machining, high-pressure water jets, and plasma do not have the same signature marks in rock as ultrasonic machining.
Once star hole machining is understood and mastered by an individual, the person can move forward in learning ultrasonic aggregate removal via “scoop marks” and ancient hieroglyphs ultrasonically stamped into granite stone.
The Egyptians did not machine rock, therefore they inherited the masterful stonework.
Because academics and megalithic researchers ignore the solution, humanity suffers from not knowing our true past accomplishments. I don’t want this knowledge to be hidden, so I will be teaching ancient machining techniques to those interested in ancient high technology used in pre-historic times.
